March Newsletter 2024

18th March 2024

We’ve been really busy recently with full carving classes, two Saturday classes, and a private class for a 60th birthday.  The workshop is currently chocka with headstones that are at various stages of being worked on.

Check out our International Women’s Day blog, focused on Tamsin’s experience as a woman stone carving apprentice.

We’re signed up to do the Salisbury Plain Arts Trail end of May, more details to follow.

If you fancy working on your letter drawing skills, Henry is offering a Roman Lettering course at Messums Studio in Chilmark. There’s more on that below.

Best wishes,

Henry & Tam

Drawing Roman Letters at Messums
April 19th Henry is teaching a day of drawing Roman letters at Messums Studio in Chilmark.

This course will be looking closely at letter forms and how to draw and space letters, honing in on the detail that makes a Roman letter so comforting in its familiarity. Book tickets with Messums Gallery.
